![]() ![]() Unfortunately, a lot of the floors I built had close to 1000 pieces, with some pieces being rare so should I ever go forth with this endeavor then it will definitely be a pricy one. Having built all these floors, I almost want to go to Bricklink and order the parts to make my own LEGO Tower. ![]() ‘Subway and Subway Station’ by Koen Van Der Hoeven. As an architecture and design fan I created 10 entries into this competition, building things from a laundromat all the way to a LEGO play room. Despite this set of room types, there were a wide variety of things you could build that fall into these types. Rooms in the game and contest were organized into five types: Food, Recreation, Service, Retail and Creative, allowing for a wide variety of different types of rooms. The height of the room is 9 bricks tall, over double the height of a conventional 4 brick tall LEGO minifigure.īy following these rules, a wide variety of submissions were designed 588 to be exact.Objects could be hung from the ceiling but they should not hang low enough to obscure a minifigure in the room. Despite the contest allowing for a ceiling to be built, it is not visible in the game.In the LEGO Tower Game you can see that the door is just a black rectangle. The door frame that minifures enter through could be modified but all basic shapres and openings of the door of the floors are the same. All other spaces in the room are not reachable by minifigures. The yellow area in the image had to be left free of obsctructions to allow minifigures to have space to walk. An important detail to consider for all rooms designed in this contest is the walkable space. Windows or modest additions to rear depth can only be applied to the right of the door. In the game however the wall sections are cropped out. The back wall can be 1 or 2 bricks deep depending on the needs of the design. The floor plate of all floors in the LEGO Tower Game are 32 studs wide (including walls) and 12 studs deep (to door). ![]()
